Critical Reviews

At 85-years-old, Jiro Ono is considered by many to be one of the world’s greatest sushi chefs. Though only 10 seats, and situated in a Tokyo subway station, Jiro’s restaurant is a Mecca to sushi-enthusiasts across the globe, who annually makes reservations months in advance as part of their pilgrimage. Jiro’s lifelong quest to create the perfect piece of sushi is evident in both his impeccably-run business, and his relationship with his son Yoshikazu, who is reluctant to inherit his father’s restaurant and legacy.
