Filmed with extraordinary access over more than two years, MAY IT LAST: A PORTRAIT OF THE AVETT BROTHERS is a deeply intimate and revealing look at the Grammy Award-nominated North Carolina band fronted by Seth and Scott Avett. Directors Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio chart the Avett Brothers' decade-and-a-half rise, while chronicling their 2016 collaboration with famed producer Rick Rubin on the critically-acclaimed album “True Sadness,” released on American Recordings/Republic Records. Using the recording process as a backdrop, the film depicts a lifelong creative partnership put to the test as band members undergo marriage, divorce, parenthood, illness, and the challenges of the music business. More than just a concert documentary, MAY IT LAST is a meditation on family, love, and the passage of time.

KUED & the Salt Lake Film Society present an advance screening of the newest film from MASTERPIECE: "Dark Angel."

Joanne Froggatt (of Downtown Abbey fame) stars as the infamous Victorian serial killer Mary Ann Cotton, who became known for dispensing death from the spout of a warm teapot. Directed by Emmy award-winner Brian Percival (Downton Abbey), written by Golden Globe nominee Gwyneth Hughes (The Girls) and inspired by the book Mary Ann Cotton: Britain's First Female Serial Killer by noted criminologist David Wilson, Dark Angel dramatizes the events that drew a troubled woman ever deeper into a career of casual murder, while her loved ones and friends (who were also her victims) never suspected a thing.

Tickets are required for entry, but are available for FREE. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Broadway Centre box office on the day of the event, starting at 11:00AM.
