24 Frames a Second is a new series with Utah Presents and the Salt Lake Film Society at the Post Theatre on the U of U campus. Screenings are free and will be on the first Wednesdays of the month when school is in session.

KUED and the Salt Lake Film Society invite you to an advance screening of a new documentary, "Violins of Hope: Strings of the Holocaust." The film highlights an Israeli violinmaker’s efforts to restore violins recovered from the Holocaust — including some that were last played by Jewish prisoners in Nazi concentration camps. Narrated by Academy Award-winner Adrien Brody.

Former Utah Symphony associate concertmaster & author Gerald Elias will provide a brief performance and talk before the film in the theatre, and KUED will be giving away tickets to upcoming performances from the The Chamber Music Society of Salt Lake City and NOVA Chamber Music Seriesto lucky winners.

Come enjoy an evening of beautiful music and learn about this fascinating subject!

The screening is free, but seating is limited.
