Possibly the rarest and most extensive collection of rental titles available in Utah and neighboring states. The Tower DVD collection is accessible to the community at large and free or discounted for SLFS members.

Ivory Tower Series

In collaboration with Westminster College, this innovative program pairs a classic film with a lecture by a film student from the college.

Visiting Film Artists & Panels

SLFS films present opportunities for further dialogue. SLFS brings artists in film, hosts Skype Q&A’s, and, where appropriate, coordinates panel discussions.

School Group Tours

SLFS offers tours to elementary school groups at the Tower Theatre that include a short Chaplin film presentation, popcorn and a peek at the projection booth.

Global Film Initiative Series

Ten films from ten nations by ten directors presented annually to the public with special morning screenings for students.

Big Pictures, Little People

Serving low-income, shelter, foster, and group-home children, SLFS presents quality children’s film to over 1,000 children aged 2-7 each year. This free program includes bus transportation, a t-shirt, and treats for each child.

Mexican Film Tour

A community collaboration that celebrates the history, culture, and heritage of Mexican film.

Czech Film Tour

The best in Czech cinema, presented through a collaboration with the vibrant SLC Czech community.
