On March 9th and 10th, audiences will have opportunities to see examples of Mr. De Mey’s work and to engage in conversations with the filmmaker and invited guests. In addition to screenings of De Mey’s films, the International Screendance Festival will also present films by emerging and established artists.

Thierry De Mey is a pioneer of Screendance, a genre of film that merges choreography and cinematography. Over the last 25 years he has collaborated with artists and dance companies such as William Forsythe/Frankfurt Ballet, Anna Teresa De Keersmaeker/ Rosas, Thomas Hauert/ZOO, and Michelle Ann De Mey. He is now on the faculty of IRCAM, Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music, in Paris.
