Jerry Di Pego is a writer and producer with a career in the film industry lasting over 40 years. Jerry is in SLC as a special guest instructor in the SLFS Screenwriters Program.
Join us for a special free screening of his 2013 film WORDS AND PICTURES. A Q&A with Jerry with take place after the film.

Want to be a screenwriter? Have that idea in your mind that won't go away? Just need that kick in the pants to get started? You are in luck because the Utah Screenwriter's Project is back for 2017/2018.  Since 2005, we have fostered more than 125+ screenwriters from the SLC community.  The 2017/2018 workshop will be led by Stephen Williams as the USP Fellows Project Manager and Mentor.  He is a former participant in the workshop and teaches at Salt Lake Community College.  

Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, March 28, 2017.    We are no longer accepting applications.  Thank you to all who have applied.  
Applicants will be notified of admission into the project by Friday, March 31, 2017.
Only 30 individuals will be accepted for the 2017/2018 program.

Chicago-born, raised in rural Illinois. NIU grad. Sent stories to magazines from 1961 until first sale in 1968 (Redbook). Moved to LA with 1st wife, 1st son, and 1st screenplay. This first script opened the door into the network television business in 1973. I was 32.
TV films and novels followed until first feature in 1981, Sharky’s Machine with Burt Reynolds. Features, more TV films, novels, and stage plays followed until 1996 when feature Phenomenon with John Travolta established me firmly in features     (though plays, stories, and novellas continued).
Living rural again in California’s Santa Ynez Valley; sons grown and writing; wife, Christine, former jazz singer, deals in antiques. We volunteer and she paints and I write and write and write. Still loving it all.
Keith Gordon
Keith Gordon was born on February 3, 1961 in New York City, New York, USA. He is a director and actor, known for A Midnight Clear (1992), Waking the Dead (2000) and Mother Night (1996). He has been married to Rachel Griffin since 1998.
